Welcome to the CWD Studios blog!

We are two sisters with a passion for photography and graphic design. Originally from New York City & raised in a family of artists both technical (architect) and creative (painter), it was only a matter of time before we each developed our own personal creative styles. After graduating, we both spent a couple of years slaving to the grind of Corporate America before deciding on a family vacation one summer to combine our talents and start our own business. Established in 2010, CWD Studios focuses to provide clients with beautiful photography and modern innovative design services for a fraction of the industry rates.

CAIT’S STREET CRED:

Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism w/ concentration in Photography from Purchase College.

Studied towards an MFA in Communications Design at Syracuse University for 2 years.

Participated in workshops at the International Center for Photography in New York City; Light Works in Syracuse New York and Bucks County Community College in Pennsylvania.

Freelance Photographer for Wenner Media (Us Weekly, Rolling Stone and Men’s Journal) took photos of visiting celebrities and musicians for internal use and publication.

COURT’S STREET CRED:

Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design from James Madison University

Freelance graphic designer for Insight Pharmaceuticals – Created ads published in major magazines such as OK! and Us Weekly.

Currently the Graphics Manager at East + Sunset.
